Appearance: White powder
Chemical Name: Sodium dithionite
Chemical Formula: Na2S2O4
Properties: Sodium hydrosulphite is not stable under physiological conditions; the decomposition rate increases with acidity. Upon contact with moisture, it oxidizes into hydrogen sulphite, sulphite, and hydrogen sulphate. It can release sulfur dioxide under strongly acidic conditions.
